ISO/TS-16949 certification aligns existing American,
German, French and Italian automotive quality system

It specifies the quality requirements for the design/development,
production, installation and servicing of automotive-related
products. It has been accepted as an equivalent
to QS-9000, VDA6.1, AVSQ and EAQF certifications.
Accordingly, ISO/TS-16949 is expected to eliminate
the need for multiple certifications
